Romantic Venice Italy – Photo Essay
Venice is like eating an entire box of chocolate liqueurs in one go. ~ Truman Capote
I have to agree with Capote. Romantic Venice is intoxicating, rich, and too many of her pleasures in one sitting will definitely leave you with a tummy ache. But to me, Venice Italy is a romantic’s dream. Visiting Venice is akin to seeing a dear old friend after many years apart. Just a few moments together and you forget the wrinkles around her eyes and you both are young again. Her magical glow hides the shabby and the timeless march of the tides draws you deep into her mysteries. As you can see, the city of Venice has captured my soul. Here are few photographic impressions of Venice, Italy and the delights she’s shared with us.
Venice is Liquid.
Venice is Grand.
Venice is Sighs.
Venice is Adulation.
Venice is Literature.
Venice is Art.
Venice is Blue.
Venice is Twilight.
Venice is Spectacular.
Do you have a city that has stirred your soul the way Venice has for me? Was it Paris? Another city in Italy, perhaps? What was it that made it so special? We’d love to hear from you!
I love the pictures! Thank you for sharing your experiences with us!! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by! We’ll have to see about planning a family visit to Italy and Greece soon! 😉
Your pictures of Venice are so gorgeous they have me wanting to return! I just wish so many other people didn’t go there too – why don’t they stay home? 🙂

LOL! I so agree! If we could each take a week and just have the city to ourselves, it would be PERFECT! 😉
We are heading to Venice in November, your pictures are beautiful and you seem to have captured it’s spirit. As for cities that have captured me Paris for some reason seems new everytime I return and a new one we recently visited Prague just beautiful and full of surpises.

We visited Prague for the first time as well recently and were charmed by it! And Paris is always, always a wonderful visit! 😉
Venice is certainly a must see. Unfortunately, every time we go the water seems to be a bit higher.

Venice is indeed a magical place – even in high water! Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
Your pictures and words are gorgeous, Lisa! My parents were married in Venice, and I would love to go there someday. Looks spectacular! Udaipur in Rajasthan, India with it’s Lake Palace, colorful buildings, mountains and history had that a magical, romantic charm to me. I would love to go back there someday.
