Packing for a longer journey is quite different than the weekend trip! You can only pack so many clothes, and those clothes need to be easy to hand wash in the bathroom sink of your hostel in emergencies!
Shoes can be heavy and take up a lot of room. While you think you need a pair of sneakers and sandals in various colors, for various occasions, you will quickly fill up your backpack with unnecessary footwear if you do not plan accordingly!
