Follow the Rainbow in Burano, Italy – (Caution, May Need Sunglasses)
Famous for it’s beautiful lace, tapestries, and wildly colorful houses, Burano, Italy is a photographer’s dream! Just a 45 minute ride on the vaporetto from Venice’s Nuovo station and it feels as though you’ve stepped into a fresh palette of paints.

I’ve seen some very pretty and colorful towns, but Burano just might be the MOST colorful. Would love to see it in person. I’m sure I’d go crazy taking pics. Yours are great, by the way.
Thank you Cathy – It is truly a picturesque area of Venice, although we would be hard pressed to suggest the whole area is not just as beautiful!
We have just returned from Treporti near Venice and spent time walking around these colourful streets. It is probably my favourite island in the area, the bright colours shine through even when it’s raining. I highly recommend a trip to everyone.
Gorgeous photos! The colors in Venice are amazing. Thanks for sharing!
