Rotorua is located on the North Island of New Zealand.  Known as an adventure capital of the world, you can find any activity to suit your interest.  From a relaxing day at the spa to Zorbing down a hill, you can do it all.  Easily accessible by public transport from Auckland or a 3 hour drive in your own car, it is well worth the visit.  But you will need to stay a while – there is a lot to do and see in this amazing town.   Here are some of the reasons Why We Love Rotorua:

Rotorua Museum

The museum itself if actually located in the historic Bath House building.  Be sure to take advantage of the free guided tour (included with your admission price) around the museum to learn about the history of the building and the what it was like during the bath house days.  It was definitely a highlight of our visit.  After you are done exploring the inside of the museum, take a trip to the outside viewing platform to take in a panoramic view of Rotorua. On a clear day it is simply stunning!
