In 2007 we started on an adventure that has forever changed our lives.   Within these posts, we are revisiting some of the amazing places we had the opportunity to explore.  We hope you enjoy all the travel stories and tips you will find in these pages!

Exploring Europe:  Life is either a GREAT Adventure or nothing! Quote by Helen Keller. There were a 1,000 reasons why we should not do this, but those 8 words were enough to convince us we should!

Join us as we started out on this trip in June 2007 for 13 weeks backing around Europe.

 

 

Mexico: TOTAL IMMERSION!! We’re off to the Marine Conservation Volunteer Expedition with GVI (Global Vision International) in Pez Maya, Mexico.

10 weeks of Coral Reef Conservation, daily SCUBA dives, and living on a beach.  Of course there were also tropical storms and possums in the bed.  Yep..  read on!

 

South Africa: We spent 10 weeks on an expedition in South Africa to study the wildlife on a big game reserve. This is the second GVI (Global Vision International) expedition that we spent time on.

Sleepy lions, elusive leopards, and the occasional charging elephant certainly kept us busy snapping pictures and telling stories.    Enjoy!

 

 

Egypt, Beijing, and diving all around Southeast Asia: Some of the best adventures were yet to come!  We learned a bit about the culture, language, and customs and as always… had a great time doing it!  New foods, new smells, new sights to share with all of you.
