FROM OUR TRAVEL JOURNAL: Before this week, if asked could I accurately put my finger on the map in the exact place where Brussels, Belgium was – I’m sure I would have failed miserably. My geography needed LOTS of work! After visiting Brussels, we have a new appreciation for a city filled with sidewalk cafes, Gothic cathedrals with gargoyles and [...]

Using the Power of Travel to Change the World!  That is a pretty exciting statement and it is a reality!  Last year the Passports with Purpose (PwP) event raised $30,000, $10 at a time, to build a brand new school in Cambodia that will influence the future of the children living in that area for years to come.  Amazing how [...]

The Great Wall of China is a beautiful site anytime, but in the fall when it is framed by lovely foliage changing colors it takes on a whole new look.  We spent a day at this area of the wall making our way up to the tower – it is much farther than it looks!  At the top we were [...]

We had met a local Beijing student who asked if he could practice his English with us.  Happily obliging, we ended up spending about an hour and a half walking around some interesting parts of Beijing as he became our tour guide.  All in return for letting him talk English – he was mostly interested in the way we use [...]

Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic and is known as the “City of Spires”.  We have heard it called the city of 100 spires and the city of 1000 spires.  I am not sure which is right, but it was a beautiful place to capture some amazing photographs of the cathedrals and synagogues that help contribute [...]

Church on Dorfstrasse – the Church of Saint Antonius St Anton is a village in Tyrol, located in western Austria, with a population of about 2,500.  The area is known for it’s ski season, which gets quite lively during that time of year.  We visited in the Fall when there was still a briskness to the air, but lots of sunshine.
