Be Not Inhospitable To Strangers Lest They Be Angels In Disguise

Just across the Seine, in the shadow of of Notre Dame, on 37 rue de la Bucherie sits a booklovers dream – the famous Shakespeare and Company Bookstore. Named in 1964 as a tribute to Sylvia Beach’s famous 1920′s gathering place for writers we love today like Ernest Hemingway, James Joyce, Ezra Pound, Gertrude Stein and F. Scott Fitzgerald. Today the bookstore serves as a nucleus in Paris for writers and readers alike.
